The studio resolved the issues that delayed the second season.

Fans of X-Men ’97 will likely avoid two-year waits between future seasons. Producer Larry Houston stated that production hurdles caused the long gap after the first season but the team fixed those processes.

Houston confirmed the earlier statement from Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum. Winderbaum designated X-Men ’97 as an annual series alongside Daredevil: Born Again and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

The second season of X-Men ’97 premieres on July 1. These episodes continue the story from the first season finale, which left the mutant team scattered across different time periods.
