Acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan, best known for It’s Only the End of the World, recently took to social media to share a glimpse of a newly finished screenplay.
The director is slated to begin filming the as-yet-untitled feature in the fall of 2026. Dolan has previously described the work as a “genre film,” with media outlets reporting that the narrative will be set within the elite literary circles of 1890s Paris.
Dolan’s most recent feature, the drama Matthias & Maxime, premiered in 2019. Since then, he has focused his efforts on the small screen, releasing the limited series The Night Logan Woke Up.
