Modders have taken it upon themselves to modernize World of Warcraft.
Recently the creators behind the Turtle WoW fan servers resurfaced. Despite objections from Blizzard’s legal team, the modding community keeps pushing the project forward.
They revealed gameplay from Turtle WoW 2.0: Unreal Azeroth — a WoW Classic client rebuilt on the modern Unreal Engine 5:
“Discover a reimagined Azeroth with breathtaking visuals, epic encounters, and a completely new way to explore a world you thought you knew. This is classic WoW as you’ve never seen it before!”.
