Actors Willem Dafoe and Michael Douglas are set to reunite with acclaimed director Oliver Stone for his latest project, White Lies, according to industry reports.
Dafoe has a long-standing creative history with Stone, having previously appeared in Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July. Douglas is best known for his iconic lead performance in Wall Street—which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor—as well as its follow-up, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
The narrative of White Lies centers on three generations of a family. The plot explores the struggles of Jack Freeman, a divorced father who finds himself unwittingly repeating his parents’ past mistakes within his own marriage and his turbulent relationship with his son.
The film stars Josh Hartnett in the lead role and features a supporting cast that includes Ellen Barkin, Leila George, and Homer Gear, among others. Production for the project has already wrapped.
