Academy Award winner Will Smith is set to appear in court following allegations of sexual harassment, according to various media reports.
The lawsuit was filed by violinist Brian King Joseph, who was part of Smith’s “Based On A True Story” musical tour. The plaintiff alleges that in March 2025, the actor subjected him to inappropriate advances and engaged in “grooming for further sexual exploitation.” Joseph claims that after he reported the series of incidents to Smith’s management, he was retaliated against and fired from the tour.
Joseph is seeking financial restitution for harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. The exact amount of compensation is to be determined by a jury, though a specific trial date has not yet been scheduled.
