The 2026 World Cup is set to be a monumental intersection of elite soccer and global entertainment. Throughout the tournament, a stellar roster of icons—including BTS, Madonna, and various international superstars—will take the stage to elevate the fan experience.
Global Citizen confirmed on Thursday, May 14, that the K-pop sensations and the Queen of Pop will join Shakira for an unprecedented showcase at the championship final. Held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., this high-profile performance, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, will mark the FIFA World Cup’s debut of a dedicated halftime show.
Reflecting on the milestone, FIFA President Gianni Infantino noted last March that this inaugural halftime production is designed to match the scale and grandeur of the world’s most prestigious sporting event.
Beyond the grand finale, the tournament promises a rich musical landscape. From the opening match on June 11 through the final whistle, iconic artists will headline ceremonies worldwide. On June 12, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host performances by Katy Perry and Future ahead of the U.S. vs. Paraguay clash, while Toronto’s kickoff between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina will feature sets from Michael Bublé and Alanis Morissette.
The star-studded lineup also includes LISA, Anitta, J Balvin, and Danny Ocean. With such an impressive array of talent scheduled to perform, we want to hear from you: which artist are you most anticipating? Cast your vote in our official 2026 FIFA World Cup poll below.
