The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 “Escape” safe code is giving players trouble for two reasons. Let’s start with the combination. In this mission you control Captain Price as he tries to break out of a North Korean prison. You’ll creep through narrow corridors and slip past guards stationed around nearly every corner. In the first room you reach, a note on the desk titled “confiscation protocol reminder” tells you that the new safe code is kept in the security office.

Keep moving and you’ll arrive at a somewhat wider room where a soldier stands behind a counter. Wait a moment and he’ll receive word of your escape, then dash out through the double doors on the far side. Once he’s gone, step into the room he left and read the note on the table titled “updated code.” It reveals that the safe code in “Escape” is 8410.

Where to find the safe in “Escape”

To reach the safe, keep progressing through the mission until you free Ghost from his captors. You’ll be handed a weapon at that point, and the stealth gives way to open combat. Push through the wave of North Korean soldiers until you arrive at the dormitory, a large room lined with dozens of beds and a long table.

Clear out every enemy inside, then leave through the door. A closed door sits on your right. Head in and you’ll find the safe with a keypad beside it. Punch in the code to collect Gaz’s dogtags. Rest in peace.
