Watch Tame Impala’s Cercle Set in Mexico City — “I Think I’ll Remember This Forever”

On October 10, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala performed an intimate, 90-minute DJ set at Parque Quetzalcóatl in Mexico City, playing for a small group of invited fans.

The event — produced by Cercle — coincided with the October 17 release of Deadbeat, Parker’s new album of dance-oriented tracks inspired by Australia’s bush doof scene. The performance was filmed, and the video showcases both the music and Parque Quetzalcóatl’s imaginative landscaping, a private park on the city’s outskirts that has been developed over the past two decades.

Across the set, Parker mixed selections from his own catalogue with cuts by artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Daphni, Dog Blood, Orbital, Sonique and Rosalía, and included his 2024 collaboration with Justice, “Neverender.” The closing moments featured the 1995 trance classic “Mystery Land” by tk T-Traxx; Parker thanked the audience afterward and reflected that the night would remain a vivid memory for him.

Following the release of Deadbeat, the album entered the Top Dance Albums chart at No. 1. The lead single “Dracula” also debuted at No. 1 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, while seven additional tracks from the album made appearances on the same chart the same week.
