Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are teaming up for a high-energy evening celebrating Wicked — NBC’s concert special One Wonderful Night debuted its first preview on Monday, Nov. 3.

In the 40-second snippet, the two stars bring theatrical intensity to a spirited duet from the musical’s score, recreating elements of the film’s staging beneath green and pink lighting. Their powerful live vocals and synchronized choreography capture the rivalry and chemistry between their characters without missing a beat.

The clip also offers a lighter moment: after an enthusiastic “Boo!” from Erivo, Grande responds with a playful, “Alright, I get it!” — a brief exchange that makes the Tony winner smile and underlines the duo’s onstage rapport.

Wicked: One Wonderful Night premieres Thursday, Nov. 6 on NBC and will stream on Peacock. The two-hour special showcases Grande and Erivo performing the musical’s best-known numbers live, complete with dramatic costumes and choreography — part of the promotional push leading into the sequel’s theatrical release on Nov. 21.

Speaking with interviewer Evan Ross Katz, Grande said the concert was conceived to center fans in the final film’s promotional activities, making the event as much a celebration for audiences as a marketing showcase.
