Warhammer: Necromunda Prepares for New Edition and Miniature Set Releases

Warhammer: Necromunda enters a new edition featuring a core set with the Matriarch Blades and Forge Smelter gangs. The release includes updated rulebooks and the Hive Team kit series for the Escher, Goliath, Orlock, Van Saar, Cawdor, and Delaque houses.

The Big Summer Warhammer Preview Show 2026 announced these updates. The new starter box features the House Escher Matriarch Blades and the House Goliath Forge Smelters.

Each gang includes eight plastic miniatures. The Escher figures display feathers, furs, bold hairstyles, and blade-like heels. The Goliath fighters appear as massive warriors in plate armor, wielding modified industrial tools.

The box provides pre-written gang lists, a double-sided game board, dice, a range ruler, templates, tokens, gang tactics cards, and campaign cards. A revised rulebook updates the campaign structure for more flexibility and adjusts dice rolls to increase the impact of every action.

Players can purchase the rulebook separately or within the core set. The set also includes the Zone Mortalis: Ruined Factory terrain, which will see a standalone release. The tactics and campaign cards provide tools for tracking territories, generating scenarios, and managing combat strategies.

A new gang book updates the rules, replacing previous publications. These books detail the lore, gang backgrounds, fighter profiles, equipment, and rules for hiring mercenaries, brutes, hangers-on, and pets.

The Hive Team series brings new kits to the market. Each kit contains leaders, champions, gangers, juves, and a sprue of weapons and upgrades. These sets cater to House Escher, Goliath, Orlock, Van Saar, Cawdor, and Delaque.
