WARDOGS Development Head Criticizes Low Game Prices and Train Fares, Blames Rockstar Over GTA 6 Pricing Standard
Joe Brammer believes that well-known developers should more often publicly complain about low game prices so that players feel sorry for them and become willing to spend much more money on their favorite hobby.
Bulkhead head and WARDOGS executive producer Joe Brammer stated that modern video games are too cheap compared to the rising costs of developing them. In his opinion, it is long past time for the industry to reconsider prices for major releases, and Grand Theft Auto VI could have been a suitable moment for such a change.

Brammer spoke out following a recent comment from Tim Schafer, who talked about the complex economics of the gaming industry and did not entirely understand why companies first lay off employees and then find themselves forced to hire people again when the time comes to develop new projects.
Development costs are too high, and games are too cheap. GTA 6 had a chance to raise the bar, but they [Take-Two/Rockstar] didn’t do it, so we’re going to keep going in circles. I just paid 30 pounds for a one-way train ride, and WARDOGS costs 36.99… People like Tim should come right out and state that games need to cost more, rather than acting like we don’t know.
