As reported by Deadline, “War of the Worlds” has been named the big “winner” at this year’s Golden Raspberry Awards, taking home five dishonors.
The film was recognized for Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Actor (Ice Cube), Worst Screenplay, and Worst Prequel, Remake, or Rip-off. This screenlife adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic, which debuted on Prime Video last May, was savaged by critics, holding a mere 4% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Razzie Redeemer Award, given to an artist who has successfully rebuilt their reputation, went to Kate Hudson, who earned an Oscar nomination this year for her role in the musical drama “Music.” The complete list of “winners” follows below.
