WandaVision Writer Developing Stargate Series
Jac Schaeffer, the creative force behind WandaVision and Agatha All Along, has been tapped to develop a new television adaptation of the iconic science-fiction franchise Stargate for Amazon MGM Studios, according to reports from Variety. The project is currently in the nascent stages of development, with plans to assemble a writers’ room in the near future.
In addition to her writing duties, Schaeffer will serve as an executive producer alongside Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse Pictures. This endeavor falls under Schaeffer’s overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Representatives for both the studio and the writer have declined to comment on the announcement.
This marks Amazon’s second major attempt to revitalize the Stargate universe for the small screen. At this time, specific details regarding the narrative, casting, and projected release window remain under wraps.
