Updated PlayStation 5 Pro to Hit European Market Soon — Media

Online chatter has resurfaced about a new PlayStation 5 Pro following the quiet European launch of an updated PS5 Slim. That Slim model uses cheaper components, which impacted performance, and its SSD was reduced to 825 GB from the previous 1 TB.

Reports now suggest a new PS5 Pro bearing the model number CFI-7121 will debut in Europe at the end of September 2025. Specific changes haven’t been confirmed yet, but insiders promise upgrades.

One detail that has emerged is storage capacity. Unlike the Slim, the new Pro will not lose SSD space — it retains a 2 TB drive while preserving the existing case design. In short, this is not a PS5 Pro Slim.
