Universal Was Developing Three TV Series in the “Fast & Furious” Universe

Universal Pictures was developing three distinct series set in the Fast & Furious universe as spin-offs. Regrettably, none of those shows have ever been released.

The first was planned to follow Roman and Tej as an “independent” series, and notably Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris were not listed to reprise their original roles. The second would have focused on a young Dominic Toretto, acting as a continuation of the flashback storyline introduced in the ninth film with the character Vinny Bennett. The third series was intended to explore the story of Han, another key figure from the franchise.

Those three projects could have strengthened Peacock’s position in the streaming market, where it currently trails services like Netflix and HBO Max.

As of November 30, 2025, the shows’ fate remains uncertain — they haven’t been officially canceled, but production has been on hold for an extended period.
