Giggs Headlines London Halftime as NFL Keeps Building International Momentum

The NFL has increasingly treated its international fixtures like compact spectacles, tacking on halftime productions that echo the scale of a Super Bowl performance.

On Oct. 12, 2025, south London native Giggs took the stage at halftime of the New York Jets–Denver Broncos matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Broncos edged the contest, 13–11.

“It’s a huge moment to be a part of the London Games,” Giggs said. “I’ve been on a journey with my music, and to get to share that with my city and the NFL fans is something I’m really proud of.”

Fans still celebrate his 2007 single “Talkin’ da Hardest,” which remains a staple in his repertoire. A recent clip of the track drew a positive reaction from NFL players on social media — Cleveland Browns players were among those who reacted enthusiastically. Watch the TikTok clip.

Throughout his career Giggs has collaborated with major names across genres, including Drake, 21 Savage, Ed Sheeran and Dave, broadening his international profile.

Giggs’s appearance follows a string of high-profile halftime acts at recent international games. Last week, British singer Raye delivered a nearly seven‑minute set at Tottenham that included her hit “Where Is My Husband!” In that match the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Cleveland Browns, 21–17.

Two weeks earlier, singer‑songwriter Myles Smith headlined the halftime show for the NFL’s first regular‑season game in Ireland at Croke Park, where the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Vikings, 24–21.

In September, Grammy‑winning Karol G performed during the nfl game in São Paulo at Corinthians Arena, a contest in which the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 27–21.

Looking ahead to the U.S. calendar, Bad Bunny is set to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California — another example of the league’s fusion of sport and global pop culture.

“Bringing the best in sports and entertainment is what the international games are all about,” said Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL.

With these headline acts and expanding venues, the NFL’s international strategy continues to lean heavily on high‑profile entertainment to deepen its global footprint.
