Ubisoft Confirms Development of New Ghost Recon Game

Ubisoft announced that it has been working on a new Ghost Recon installment for several years, and the project is currently in preparation for closed tests.

During a broadcast celebrating the 25th anniversary of the franchise, producer Irina-Gabriela Popa shared that the team is preparing the next entry in the series and is ready to show the game to its first fans.

For the past few years, we have been building the next chapter of Ghost Recon. I am thrilled to say that we are now ready to test it, because we want to offer a fresh and very exciting adventure that stays true to everything that defines Ghost Recon: tactical combat, large-scale operations, a grounded military narrative, and, of course, the Ghosts.

Ubisoft is inviting players to sign up for the Ghost Recon Insider program. Participants will gain access to closed tests, and their feedback will help with balancing, optimization, and the ongoing development of the game.

The target platforms, release date, and project details remain unknown at this time. The developers promise to preserve the core of the series, featuring tactical gameplay, large-scale operations, and a realistic military story.
