Ubisoft add 100 employees at two new studios, Berlin workplace to work on “unannounced venture”

Ubisoft are set so as to add two new workplaces to their sprawling improvement empire, which presently numbers 26 studios throughout 18 international locations.

The new studios are coming to Bordeaux and Berlin. They will add “at least 100” new employees to Ubisoft of their first 12 months, and help on creating video games in “some of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises” as a part of the mega-publisher’s cross-studio collaboration method. Ubisoft have already got two studios in Germany and 4 in France, the place their first inside improvement store, Ubisoft Paris, celebrates its 25th anniversary this 12 months.

Ubisoft Bordeaux will likely be headed by Julien Mayeux and report back to Xavier Poix, managing director of Ubisoft’s French studios. Ubisoft say it should “collaborate on the development of some of the biggest videogame fdranchises to have originated in France, incuding Just Dance, Steep, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.”

Germany is residence to Blue Byte, acquired by Ubisoft in 2001. The new Berlin studio will report back to Benedikt Grindel, supervisor of Ubisoft Blue Byte, and work together with his present groups in Düsseldorf and Mainz on “an unannounced project from within one of Ubisoft’s most popular triple-A franchises”. Blue Byte make technique franchises corresponding to The Settlers and Anno, and not too long ago helped to make the PC model of For Honor.
