Tyla Celebrates the Release of “Chanel” with a “Put Her in Chanel” Brunch in Los Angeles

On Friday, October 24, 2025, Tyla marked the debut of her new single “Chanel” with an intimate “Put Her in Chanel” brunch in Los Angeles dedicated to celebrating women.

About 25 guests — including journalists, influencers and several performers who appear in the “Chanel” music video — gathered at Chez Mia in West Hollywood on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Each attendee received a single white rose with a personalized note. As a signature touch, Tyla gifted engraved Chanel compact mirrors and set up a bouquet bar where floral arrangements were placed inside white paper bags styled like Chanel packaging.

During a champagne toast, Tyla said she planned to pamper her guests and champion the song’s message about self-worth. “I’m putting you all in Chanel today,” she declared, wearing an oversized white Chanel graphic T‑shirt paired with layered gold Chanel chains.

Tyla has worn Chanel publicly before: she attended her first Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week in March 2025, choosing a purple tweed bolero, a strapless bustier and a mini skirt to evoke a classic Chanel silhouette. At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, she repurposed a cream corset-style tank from Chanel’s spring/summer 1993 collection into a micro dress and won Best Afrobeats for the second year running with “Push 2 Start.” In the new “Chanel” music video, she even showcases a white spring/summer 2013 hula hoop bag from Karl Lagerfeld’s archive.

The South African artist previewed “Chanel” at Global Citizen Festival 2025 in New York last September. The single follows her WWP EP, which reached No. 11 on the World Albums chart. Since then she’s contributed to a number of high-profile projects — including Travis Scott’s Jackboys 2 (“PBT” with Vybz Kartel), Cardi B’s Billboard 200–topping Am I The Drama? (“Nice Guy”), Teyana Taylor’s Escape Room (“Pum Pum Jump” with Jill Scott) and Lojay’s XOXO (“Memories”).
