Two New Games Arrive on Xbox Game Pass — One Inspired by Studio Ghibli Films

Players are still voicing complaints about Xbox Game Pass after the price increases, but Microsoft keeps moving forward and continues to add new titles. Today, subscribers can check out Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato and Little Rocket Lab.

Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato is an emotional adventure about a boy named Miho who sets off through a magical realm inspired by Latin American culture. Players search for rare ingredients to help his grandmother prepare a legendary soup. The developers drew inspiration from Studio Ghibli, evident in the gentle visuals and warm, whimsical tone. The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play at no extra charge, including via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Little Rocket Lab also joined the subscription without prior notice. In it, players take control of Morgan, a young engineer who returns to her hometown of Saint-Ambroise to build a rocket and revive the local industry. The game blends factory-building simulation with puzzle elements: design production lines, automate workflows and craft mechanical contraptions.

The title stands out thanks to its cozy atmosphere, warm visual palette and evocative music, turning Little Rocket Lab into an interactive animated tale about ambition, friendship and teamwork.
