With Super Bowl LX fast approaching on February 8, the sports world is buzzing as the New England Patriots prepare to clash with the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. While the NFL has tapped Grammy-winning sensation Bad Bunny to lead the prestigious halftime festivities, an alternative entertainment option has emerged for those seeking a different vibe.
Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit, has officially pulled back the curtain on its “All-American Halftime Show.” Scheduled to air simultaneously with the official game broadcast on February 8, the event features a powerhouse lineup of country and rock stalwarts, including Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett. After keeping the details under wraps for several weeks, the organization confirmed the roster today via its social media platforms.
When his selection for the official NFL stage was first announced, Bad Bunny shared an emotional statement reflecting on the cultural weight of the performance. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” the artist remarked. “This is for those who cleared the path… it’s for my people and our history. Go tell your grandmother that we are the Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
The Puerto Rican icon arrives at the Super Bowl on a wave of historic momentum. On February 1, he secured a landmark victory at the Grammys when Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the inaugural Spanish-language project to claim the Album of the Year title. His decorated night also included wins for Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance for his hit “EoO.”
However, the choice of Bad Bunny has not been without its vocal detractors. Former President Donald Trump expressed his disapproval to the New York Post, stating he would skip the game entirely. Trump criticized both Bad Bunny and Green Day—who are slated to open the Game Day festivities—labeling the selection as a “terrible choice” that encourages division. Despite the pushback, the U.S. citizen and global superstar is widely expected to deliver a performance primarily in his native Spanish.
Bad Bunny previously addressed the language barrier during his 2025 hosting stint on Saturday Night Live. After delivering a monologue in Spanish, he cheekily told the audience, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”
Seeking to provide a direct alternative to the NFL’s vision, Turning Point USA—the organization established by the late activist Charlie Kirk—conceived its “counterprogram” to appeal to a different demographic. Until today, the talent roster had been one of the most closely guarded secrets in the industry.
The participating artists have already begun mobilizing their fanbases. Brantley Gilbert encouraged his followers on Instagram Stories to tune in, while Gabby Barrett, Lee Brice, and Kid Rock circulated the official event graphics across their respective channels.
The TPUSA lineup brings significant commercial pedigree to the alternative stage. Gabby Barrett famously dominated the charts with “I Hope” and “The Good Ones,” while Lee Brice boasts eight No. 1 hits on Country Airplay, including “Memory I Don’t Mess With.” Brantley Gilbert contributes five No. 1 singles to the collective, and veteran rocker Kid Rock brings the experience of five Grammy nominations and his legendary crossover success with “Picture.”
The “All-American Halftime Show” will be accessible via digital livestreams on X and Rumble, with additional broadcasts scheduled for The Daily Wire and the Trinity Broadcasting Network.
