Travis Kelce Reveals the Surprisingly Practical Gift Taylor Swift Cherishes Most
While Travis Kelce officially sealed his engagement to Taylor Swift with a breathtaking diamond ring last August, the Kansas City Chiefs star recently shared that one of her most beloved gifts is far more domestic than dazzling jewelry.
During a festive Christmas Eve edition of the New Heights podcast, Travis sat down with his brother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, to talk holiday gifting strategies. When the topic turned to kitchen essentials, the NFL tight end admitted that a functional appliance outshined many of the more extravagant presents he’s given the pop icon.
“I will say, one of Tay’s absolute favorite gifts that I ever got her was the bread slicer,” Travis revealed with a laugh.
The choice makes perfect sense given Swift’s well-documented foray into the world of artisan baking. Travis joked about the abundance of fresh loaves filling their home, noting, “She’s been throwing together so much sourdough. Gosh, I’ve got the best gut health there is right now. I love you, Tay!”
Jason Kelce quickly validated the gift’s usefulness, pointing out the struggle of hand-slicing homemade loaves. “One of the unfortunate things with making fresh bread is trying to cut that stuff—it is hard!” Jason exclaimed. “The slicer makes a massive difference.”
Kylie Kelce, who hosts the Not Gonna Lie podcast, playfully added that the real “responsibility” is having to eat all that bread, a task the Kelce brothers jokingly characterized as the easiest part of the hobby.
Swift’s culinary exploits have frequently made headlines. The singer-songwriter has famously baked homemade Pop-Tarts for friends like Channing Tatum and members of the Chiefs squad, prepared pre-game cinnamon rolls for Travis, and recently shared fresh sourdough with longtime friend Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
During her debut appearance on New Heights earlier this year, the “Anti-Hero” singer confirmed her obsession with the craft, telling the brothers, “Right now, we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has essentially taken over my life.”
