Swifties were delighted by the buzz surrounding Taylor Swift’s appearance at the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs matchup this past Wednesday (June 10)—and her most vocal cheerleader, Travis Kelce, was right there with them, albeit from afar.

While the Kansas City Chiefs star is a frequent fixture by his fiancée’s side at sporting events, this time, the global pop icon opted for a girls’ night out. Joined by friends Mariska Hargitay, Alana Haim, and Este Haim, Swift enjoyed the high-stakes drama of the NBA Finals from a courtside vantage point at Madison Square Garden. Unable to attend in person, Kelce kept tabs on the action through social media, enthusiastically engaging with various clips of Swift soaking in the electric atmosphere.

Among the highlights Kelce favored was a viral video of Swift arriving at the arena, which ESPN cleverly captioned with a nod to her “Stevie Knicks” graphic tee. He also liked a GQ Sports feature capturing the 14-time Grammy winner shouting a vibrant “Hey!” while Alana Haim excitedly cheered, “Go, Knicks!”

The NFL tight end further signaled his approval by liking a SportsCenter montage of Swift celebrating a pivotal Knicks basket, paired with the caption: “Taylor’s having so much fun.”

The game—a thrilling 107-106 victory for New York that puts the team within striking distance of the championship title—occurred right in the heart of the Chiefs’ minicamp training. Although Kelce and Swift previously attended a game together in Cleveland, he noted that the experience was simply about sharing his love for the sport.

“Sharing my roots and taking Tay back to Cleveland is always a highlight,” Kelce reflected on his New Heights podcast. “It wasn’t about trying to convert her into a die-hard Cleveland fan; it was just a great date night. I love immersing her in the sports world that I’m so passionate about, and I look forward to catching more games together when our schedules align.”
