Travis Kelce Salutes Taylor Swift After Historic Touchdown as She Cheers Him On

Travis Kelce Marks 100th TD — Celebrates with Taylor Swift’s “Ophelia” Move

By Billboard / Oct. 27, 2025

Travis Kelce had plenty to celebrate at the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup with the Washington Commanders on Monday, Oct. 27 — not least because Taylor Swift was in attendance to cheer him on from her suite.

Kelce reached a major milestone, hauling in his 100th career touchdown — his 83rd in the regular season, which tied him with Priest Holmes for the franchise regular-season touchdown record. After the score, the tight end appeared to mimic the choreography from Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” clenching his fists and rolling his arms in the end zone while the pop superstar enthusiastically cheered from above.

Fans reacted quickly on social platforms. “He really gave us the whole dance (TD version) AND I’M SO GRATEFUL,” one viewer wrote on X, sharing a clip of the celebration. See the clip on X.

Other observers noted Kelce even worked in the line that echoes Swift’s lyric: “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes.” “Omggg he even did the ‘I pledge allegiance’ part??” one fan exclaimed after watching the replay.

The Kelce brothers’ podcast account, New Heights, also posted an image of the big catch with a playful caption — “Keep it [100] on the land, the sea, and the end zone” — a wink to Swift’s lyricism. View the post.

Kelce’s landmark touchdown arrives as Swift’s new album, The Fate of Ophelia, continues to dominate the Billboard 200, holding the No. 1 spot for a third consecutive week. The album’s success has been boosted by the viral popularity of its title track and a TikTok dance trend spawned by Swift and her dancers.

Despite her busy rollout, Swift has made it a point to attend several Chiefs games this season. At Monday’s contest she wore a red turtleneck, a coordinating leather skirt and heeled boots, and watched the action alongside Brittany Mahomes, wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. At one point the singer theatrically swooned in her suite, delighting onlookers. Watch the clip.

After the game, Kelce reflected on his achievement and his connection to Arrowhead Stadium. “I just cherish these moments, man, being able to play at Arrowhead,” he told reporters. “This place is special, man, and I love it here. In terms of the historical stuff, I’m still looking at the next game and the next catch and trying to get better.” Full remarks at NFL.com.
