British playwright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard — best known for the play “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” and its screen adaptations — has passed away. He was 88 years old. No cause of death has been disclosed.
Throughout his career Stoppard also worked on the screenplays for films such as “Brazil,” “Empire of the Sun,” “Shakespeare in Love,” and “Tulip Fever.”.
