Today Metal Eden Gets a Hardcore Mode and a 40% Discount

Reikon Games has prepared a treat for players who’ve completed Metal Eden and are seeking a new challenge. The latest update adds a mode designed to satisfy even the most demanding veterans.

Metal Eden launched in September to strong reviews, earning praise for its combat systems and the game’s atmosphere. The developers haven’t rested there.

On October 15 the shooter gains a “New Game+” mode aimed at those who finished the campaign — it lets you keep all your skills and weapons while delivering tougher encounters:

• Introduced an enemy armor modifier that scales with the chosen difficulty level;
• Combat encounters have been overhauled, with enemy stats and itemization rebalanced throughout the game;
• Tutorials, cutscenes and narrative interludes have been removed to put the emphasis squarely on action;
• Missions feel different thanks to reworked skirmishes and raised stakes.

The addition of “New Game+” coincides with a limited-time sale: Metal Eden is currently 40% off on Steam and the PlayStation Store.
