TobyMac notches his 10th No. 1 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart as “Help Is on the Way (Maybe Midnight)” ascends 2-1 on the June 19 ranking. In the week ending June 13, the track, which he co-wrote with Micah Kuiper, increased by 3% to 10.1 million audience impressions, according to MRC Data.
TobyMac last led Christian Airplay with “I Just Need U.” for two weeks beginning in March 2018. He achieved his first No. 1 in December 2006 when “Made to Love” began a nine-week run atop the list.
Dating to the June 2003 launch of the Christian Airplay chart, tobyMac moves into a tie for the fourth-most leaders with Chris Tomlin and Matthew West. MercyMe has the most (17), followed by Jeremy Camp and Casting Crowns (11 each).
TRIBBETT’S THIRD NO. 1 Meanwhile, Tye Tribbett adds his third No. 1 on Gospel Airplay as “Anyhow,” which he co-authored, pushes 2-1, up 3% in plays.
It’s Tribbett’s second consecutive Gospel Airplay leader, after “We Gon’ Be Alright” led for a week last September. Before that, he hadn’t topped the list since 2006, when “Victory” began a three-week reign that September.
