Good things come to those who wait for. Even when it takes a good fifteen years. In 2019, we warned you that THQ Nordic was planning to resuscitate the TimeSplitters saga for which it had just recovered the rights: today, the story is much more precise since we learn that TimeSplitters 4 (or whatever its final name) will be in development very, very soon.
And not by just anyone since for the occasion, the publisher will revive from its ashes Free Radical Design, iconic studio behind the franchise absorbed for years by Crytek. A new firm, of the same name, will therefore be opened soon with Steve Ellis and David Oak, the two founders of the original studio. Other former developers will also be in the game.
We do not know more at the moment except that the work will begin in the “coming months” : Anyway, the fans can rejoice happily.
