According to Deadline, director Tim Burton has arrived at the Cannes Film Festival to pitch a mysterious new project to potential buyers.
Details regarding the nature of the film remain under wraps. Burton’s most recent feature, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, was released in 2024, garnering critical acclaim and earning $450 million at the global box office.
The filmmaker is also currently attached to a remake of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, with Margot Robbie reportedly slated to star.
Throughout his career, Burton has been linked to several unproduced projects, including adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher, a Superman film starring Nicolas Cage, and Medusa. In the meantime, the director is busy helming the third season of the hit Netflix series Wednesday.
