This week, Pokémon Legends: Z-A transforms into a drastically different game
Pokémon Legends: Z-A constantly shakes up its competitive landscape by rotating its online matchmaking regulations each season. While Season 13 famously sidelined all legendary and mythical powerhouses, Season 14 strictly limited competitors to Flying-type lineups.
<p>As Season 15 approaches in just a few days, trainers must prepare for another sweeping roster restriction. This upcoming period belongs entirely to Water-type Pokémon. Competitors can deploy any Water-types featured in either the core adventure or the <em>Mega Dimension</em> expansion Pokédex.</p>

<p>While developers Game Freak and The Pokémon Company have yet to issue a formal confirmation, participants will likely be capped at bringing a single Kyogre per squad. Fortunately, individual level discrepancies won't pose an issue; all participating creatures will automatically scale to level 50 for the duration of these bouts.</p>
<p>Ranked matchmaking in <em>Pokémon Legends: Z-A</em> unfolds through chaotic four-way brawls governed by dynamic, real-time mechanics. Each competitor enters the arena with a three-mon squad, securing points by successfully fainting rival creatures. Much like the core campaign, mastering Mega Evolutions remains the ultimate pathway to securing triumph.</p>
<p>Season 15 grants familiar seasonal incentives, distributing consumable items like Fresh Water and various Feathers. Replicating the structure of Season 14, players who climb the ladder from Rank Y up to Rank S will secure prestigious mega stones, including Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite, Baxcalibrite, Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite. <p>Competitive water specialists can test their aquatic builds when Season 15 officially launches on August 6, running through August 27.
