Thick As Thieves, the highly anticipated immersive heist simulator from Otherside Entertainment, has finally locked in its release date. During today’s Triple-i Initiative showcase, a fresh gameplay trailer confirmed that the title will officially arrive on May 20.

Set within an alternate vision of 1910s Scotland, the game transports players to the fictional city of Kilcairn. This stealth-focused adventure offers both solo play and a two-player cooperative mode, following the developers’ recent decision to pivot away from the game’s original PvPvE framework to better emphasize its narrative experience. As master thieves, players must infiltrate high-security locations to pilfer fortunes and unravel the dark, guarded secrets held by the city’s corrupt Constabulary and elite nobility.

Mirroring the foundational design philosophy of genre staples like Thief and Dishonored, the world of Thick As Thieves encourages emergent, creative problem-solving. Players will take on specialized contracts and systematically upgrade their equipment as they navigate what the team calls “short, engaging missions that change with every playthrough.” The project is spearheaded by immersive sim industry titans Warren Spector (Deus Ex, Thief) and Paul Neurath (Thief, Thief II).

While the PC launch is confirmed for May 20, fans waiting for the previously announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will need to remain patient, as no release window for consoles has been provided at this time.
