The Sundowners, Mysterious Drag City Act, Announce First New Record in 23 Years

Between 1994 and 1996, a band referred to as the Sundowners launched three 7″ singles on the Drag City imprint label Sea Note. The band’s origins are unclear, and there’s loads of hypothesis about who’s concerned within the undertaking. It was broadly rumored, for instance, that the 1994 Goat Songs EP was a collaboration between Will Oldham and Bill Callahan. Oldham has denied that he labored with Callahan on the undertaking.
