Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have revealed that the upcoming season will include the most brutal character death the series has ever shown. According to the showrunners, Netflix repeatedly asked them to tone down violent content in the past, but they made an exception for the finale.
Still, the writers noted that Season 5 will be considerably less violent than Season 4.
Matt Duffer said it was important to them to bring each character’s story arc to a fitting and satisfying close.
For reference, the Stranger Things finale is scheduled to premiere on November 26, December 25, and December 31.
