The Shore: Enhanced Edition descends upon PlayStation 5 on April 30

Dragonis Games and Iphigames have announced that The Shore: Enhanced Edition, the definitive console version of the acclaimed Lovecraftian horror adventure, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026. Xbox Series X|S players can expect the game to arrive later in the year.

Originally released on PC in 2021, The Shore is the singular vision of Ares Dragonis. The game has built a following for its thick, oppressive atmosphere and its deep dive into the cosmic horror of the Lovecraftian mythos. The Enhanced Edition represents a major milestone, bringing refined visuals and adapted controls to console audiences who have been requesting a port for years.

A Descent into Cosmic Dread

In The Shore, players step into the shoes of Andrew, a father desperately searching for his missing daughter on a remote, cursed island. What begins as a personal tragedy quickly spirals into a confrontation with eldritch entities and ancient gods that lie dormant beneath the surface. The game explores themes of cosmic indifference and the terrifying insignificance of humanity when faced with unknowable forces.

The journey involves solving eerie environmental puzzles, surviving encounters with towering monstrosities, and uncovering the tragic history of the island through exploration and hidden notes. Every discovery pulls Andrew deeper into a nightmare where the truth might be more than the human mind can handle.

Physical Complete Edition

For collectors, a special physical bundle is coming on May 28, 2026, in collaboration with PQube. This Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 will include both The Shore: Enhanced Edition and Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, a surrealist horror title inspired by the art of Zdzisław Beksiński. This bundle brings together two distinct artistic traditions: Lovecraftian cosmic nihilism and Polish haunting surrealism.
