“The Mandalorian & Grogu” receives mixed reviews

The first screenings of the Star Wars sci-fi action film The Mandalorian & Grogu have taken place in the United States.

Early reactions on social media have been notably polarized:

  • Some critics and influencers dismissed the film as a waste of time, characterizing it as little more than an extended episode of The Mandalorian featuring uninspired action sequences.

  • Conversely, others hailed it as an engaging summer blockbuster, praising its thrilling chase sequences, the charming presence of Baby Yoda, and an exemplary musical score by Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson.

The film follows the latest exploits of bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his companion, Grogu. The cast also features Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, with Jon Favreau serving as director.

Disney is scheduled to release The Mandalorian & Grogu in international theaters on May 22.
