The Legend of Khiimori Receives Major Update as Console Release is Planned

The Legend of Khiimori has received a major Wildlife update featuring fishing, new animals, and a journal, alongside confirmed plans to release the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.

Released in March, the animal-powered cargo delivery game set in remote corners of Mongolia has received another major update. Wildlife introduces fishing as a new minigame.

The protagonist also receives a journal to record animal species encountered during travels. The update adds gazelles, sheep, and donkeys, while pack bags can now be reinforced with protective material to keep the most valuable cargo safe.

Wildlife marks another step toward a console release. Developer Aesir confirmed that The Legend of Khiimori will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, with a premiere possibly taking place as early as the beginning of 2027.

In Steam Early Access, the game has received 2,297 reviews, of which 83% are positive.
