Fifty years after its launch, The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society has gone gold, ITV reports. Ray Davies was awarded the gold disc for the file’s 100,000th sale earlier this week. The album was meant to “celebrate the small things in life” after the group was banned from America, Davis tells ITV. He provides that he’s within the means of turning the album right into a stage present.
