The Joy of Creation Officially Joins Five Nights at Freddy’s Franchise

The Joy of Creation is officially an official Five Nights at Freddy’s spin-off, and an updated version of the project will launch in 2027 with support from Scott Cawthon.

The creator of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series posted a new trailer for The Joy of Creation on X, accompanied by the message: “Welcome to the basement: TJOC is coming out in 2027!” The project spent many years as a fan game under the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, which expands the FNaF universe with new stories.

The new version is completely rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 and offers five levels that combine free exploration with classic FNaF survival mechanics. The player takes on the role of the Creator, who must confront manifestations of their own mind.

The Joy of Creation is now officially listed as part of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise on Steam. The project has also received official support from Scott Cawthon, and its release is planned for 2027.
