New details have surfaced regarding the financial scale of the family fantasy sequel Cheburashka 2.
According to data from the EAIS tracking system, the production costs reached approximately 1.5 billion rubles (₽1,499,492,792). The film has already proven to be a commercial powerhouse, with box office receipts exceeding 5 billion rubles and a total audience surpassing nine million viewers.
In contrast, the original 2023 hit was produced for 850 million rubles. The sequel, which debuted on January 1st, stars Sergey Garmash, Elena Yakovleva, and Polina Maksimova. Director Dmitry Dyachenko returned to helm the project, while Olga Kuzmina once again provided the voice for the iconic title character.
