Australian actress Teresa Palmer, recognized for her performances in Warm Bodies and Hacksaw Ridge, has officially joined the cast of Prime Video’s live-action God of War series.
She joins Ryan Hurst, who was previously announced as the lead portraying the legendary protagonist, Kratos. Drawing from Norse mythology, the narrative follows Kratos as he strives to fulfill his late wife’s final request. Accompanied by his son, Atreus, he embarks on a daunting quest to the highest peak in the realms to scatter her ashes. During this journey, the hero must battle both savage monsters and his own internal fury for the sake of his son.
Palmer is set to portray Sif, the goddess of family and wife of Thor. Ronald D. Moore (Outlander) serves as the series showrunner. While an official premiere date has yet to be confirmed, the production has already been greenlit for a second season.
