Taylor Swift Kisses Travis Kelce Backstage and Rehearses with Sabrina Carpenter in ‘Eras’ Documentary Trailer

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was undeniably her show, but the run’s most unforgettable moments often came courtesy of surprise guests and close collaborators — from NFL star Travis Kelce to singer-songwriters like Sabrina Carpenter.

The newly released trailer for the six-part docuseries Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era dropped Monday, Oct. 13, alongside Swift’s announcement on Good Morning America. The nearly two-minute preview offers intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpses — including a playful moment in which Kelce crouches beneath the stage and beams while Swift bends down to kiss him on the cheek.

One sequence shows Kelce rehearsing his planned cameo for a London performance, concentrating on the lift during the Tortured Poets Department portion of the show before the couple re-created the move in full costume onstage.

The teaser also sketches how other surprise appearances were arranged throughout the tour. Gracie Abrams shares a laugh backstage with Swift, and Carpenter is shown in a casual tee practicing guitar on a couch — both artists opened on different legs of the tour and joined Swift for impromptu duets at various stops.

Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch appear in rehearsal footage as well, and the trailer pays tribute to the hundreds of musicians, dancers and crew members who labored each night to bring the production to life. There are warm family snapshots, too: Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, surface frequently in candid moments, smiling and enjoying the show.

Reflecting on the tour in voiceover, Swift pushes back against the idea that such phenomena happen overnight; instead she frames the Eras Tour as the result of steady, collective effort — a culmination of many people inching forward together until everything aligned.

As announced on GMA, the first two episodes of the docuseries will premiere Dec. 12 on Disney+. Additional installments will follow, with two episodes released each subsequent week.

The series arrives roughly two years after Swift’s Eras Tour concert film — assembled from shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles — which set new box office records. Accompanying the docuseries will be a concert film documenting Swift’s final Eras Tour performance in Vancouver.

News of the docuseries follows the recent release of Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which shattered records to post one of the largest opening weeks in album history and is poised to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
