Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed GTA 6 during an investor meeting held yesterday, September 17, as well as in a conversation with GamesBeat at a themed event the day before.

Head of Take-Two speaks with a journalist at GamesBeat Insider in New York.

Zelnick expressed satisfaction with both the approach and Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. He explained that Rockstar Games found a way to entertain viewers for 27 minutes while also teaching them how the game works.

Additional Localizations

In response to a question about how the company plans to adapt to the global release, Zelnick confirmed that 13 languages will be supported. This has been known since May last year, when the game’s official website went live.

The new detail is that Zelnick said that additional localizations will be launched over time. He did not specify which ones. This leaves hope for the addition of Ukrainian (you can sign a petition in support), Turkish, Arabic, and other languages requested by fans around the world.

No Microtransactions

Zelnick avoided discussing the new Online, emphasizing that GTA VI will be a single-player project at launch. At this stage, there are also no plans for microtransactions, meaning consumers will only have to pay for the game itself.

Marketing Campaign

Despite the title’s global recognition, the rights holder will not give up on advertising. The 2023 film Barbie was cited as an example. While the popular doll is universally known, that does not eliminate the need to promote a specific product.

The promotion for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be “significant” and consist of numerous events in different corners of the world.
