Sunn O))) Announce New Album Life Metal: Watch the Trailer

Sunn O))) have introduced a brand new album. Their follow-up to 2015’s Kannon is titled Life Metal, and it’s set to reach in April through Southern Lord. The album was recorded at with Steve Albini on the producer’s Electrical Audio studios in Chicago. (According to a press launch, Albini took the band’s name and mentioned: “Sure, this will be fun. I have no idea what is going to happen.”)

In addition to band co-founders Stephen O’Malley & Greg Anderson, the brand new album options contributions by Hildur Guðnadóttir (who beforehand labored with the late Jóhann Jóhannsson), baritone guiarist Tim Midyett (Silkworm, Bottomless Pit), and composer Anthony Pateras.
