Acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer, the visionary behind Suicide Squad and Fury, is slated to spearhead a fresh project for HBO Max titled American Blue, according to reports from Deadline.
Milo Ventimiglia, widely recognized for his starring role in This Is Us, will headline the series. He portrays a character nicknamed “Milk,” who returns to his Illinois hometown with the ambitious goal of revitalizing the local police force.
The series is being developed by Jeremy Carver, the creative mind behind Supernatural. While an official premiere date has yet to be disclosed, Ayer recently directed the high-octane action thriller The Beekeeper, featuring Jason Statham.
