Sting to Headline Intimate Super Bowl Concert in San Francisco Ahead of the Big Game

The NFL’s hospitality partner, On Location, revealed on Tuesday, Oct. 28 that Sting will headline a Super Bowl–branded concert at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts. The performance is scheduled for two days before the Super Bowl game on Feb. 8, when Bad Bunny will serve as the halftime headliner at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

The event, billed as “Super Bowl LX Studio 60,” is described as an intimate weekend of live music at one of San Francisco’s landmark venues. Organizers say the program is designed to give fans a closer, more personal experience with major artists.

The announcement arrives amid intense public attention surrounding this year’s halftime selection. Both the NFL and Roc Nation — the entertainment company led by Jay-Z that handles halftime bookings — have publicly defended the choice of Bad Bunny after critiques from prominent conservative figures.

When a TMZ photographer asked Jay-Z about the backlash, he insisted that the Puerto Rican star commands broad appeal in the United States: “They love him. Don’t let them fool you,” he said.

Earlier, former President Donald Trump dismissed the halftime casting in an interview with Newsmax, claiming unfamiliarity with the reggaeton superstar — a stance contrasted by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who affirmed Bad Bunny’s status as one of the world’s most popular entertainers.

In addition to political pushback, figures such as Kristi Noem have vowed tougher immigration enforcement around the event, saying federal immigration authorities will be more visible at the Super Bowl. Organizers and broadcasters have not indicated any changes to the entertainment schedule in response.

Super Bowl LX will be broadcast live on Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Telemundo, and will stream on Peacock and NFL+.
