NEON has officially slated the US theatrical premiere of Steven Soderbergh’s newest film, The Christopheres, for April 10, according to industry reports.
The production features an ensemble cast including Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings), Michaela Coel (Black Panther), James Corden (Cats), and Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer). The narrative centers on the descendants of a once-renowned artist. Following their father’s death, they enlist a skilled forger to complete his unfinished canvases, intending to pass them off as long-lost masterpieces to secure a lucrative windfall.
The Christopheres made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last autumn to widespread critical acclaim, currently boasting a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While the domestic launch is set, details regarding an international rollout remain unconfirmed.
