Steam launches “Let There Be Games” demo festival — Valve showcases some participating titles

Valve continues to champion the culture of game demos, giving players the chance to discover many projects before their official launches.

Steam’s October demo festival, Steam Next Fest (also billed as “Let the Games Begin”), recently kicked off on the platform. Developers are offering playable trial versions of their upcoming titles.

The “Let the Games Begin” festival runs on Steam through October 20. The event’s promo page is available here; it lists participating demos and includes filters to browse by genre.

Valve has released a trailer for the festival that clips together footage from several participating games, including Mad King Redemption, Homura Hime, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, REANIMAL, PowerWash Simulator 2, and others.
