Deprived of its Star Wars game by Electronic Arts in 2017 following the closure of the Visceral Games studio for which she worked at the time, Amy Hennig (known above all for her work as a screenwriter of the first 3 Uncharted) will finally be able to realize her aborted dream: that of making a game based on Star Wars. The information is official and comes from the Skydance New Media studio where she was hired in 2019, and which specifies that it is a single-player narrative action-adventure game, typically the kind of game that the former -employee of Naughty Dof is particularly fond of. Difficult for Amy Hennig not to excite joy after such frustration, she who discovered Star Wars at the cinema in 1977 when she was 12 years old. “I’m thrilled to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love.” she declares, while on the side of LucasFilm Games, through Douglas Reilly, vice-president, we are also delighted that the collaboration will take place 5 years after an initial failure.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Amy again. She and the team at Skydance New Media have the talent and ambition to create a unique Star Wars adventure. Their vision to create story-driven and engaging interactive entertainment makes this collaboration very exciting. We’re working hard with their team of experienced and talented developers, and look forward to sharing more with Star Wars fans when the time is right.
