SpongeBob Returns: Paramount Releases Trailer for Animated Film “In Search of SquarePants”

SpongeBob is gearing up for a swashbuckling pirate adventure in cinemas.

Paramount has unveiled the first trailer for SpongeBob: In Search of the Square Pants — the fourth feature film focused on the beloved resident of Bikini Bottom and the sixth entry in the expanded SpongeBob cinematic universe. The teaser showcases the franchise’s signature mix of sharp humor, vivid animation, and a dash of delightful absurdity.

In the film, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs and embarks on a voyage with the Flying Dutchman. The journey becomes a maritime odyssey that drags him into the ocean’s most uncharted depths.

The world premiere is scheduled for December 19, 2025. The movie will later arrive on the Paramount+ streaming service, although an exact digital release date has not yet been disclosed.
