It has been a phenomenal journey since we initially announced the development of South Dakota, and we are thrilled to finally share it with our community. Fire up your ignition, prep your rig, and get ready to traverse the Mount Rushmore State! • Traverse 13 meticulously recreated urban centers, including Sioux Falls, Rapid City, and Pierre.
• Uncover 21 scenic towns and rural communities, such as Hot Springs, Wall, and Sturgis.
• Navigate approximately 680 miles of authentic roadway networks connecting seamlessly with Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Iowa.
• Marvel at legendary landmarks like Mount Rushmore, the Corn Palace, Falls Park, and the striking Dignity of Earth and Sky sculpture.
• Haul freight to 10 custom logistics depots, featuring brand-new industries like trailer manufacturing, residential construction, and a flagship food processing plant in Sioux Falls.
• Immerse yourself in magnificent natural wonders, including the rugged Black Hills, the otherworldly Badlands, and the pristine landscapes around Reva.
• Experience breathtaking geographical diversity, ranging from dramatic rock formations and dense pine forests to endless horizon plains and vibrant cityscapes.

Don’t miss our special launch live broadcast starting today at 3:00 PM CEST! We will be joined by exceptional guests, including SCS Software CEO Pavel Šebor, who will join us in discussing this spectacular new world addition while we live-stream our inaugural drive through South Dakota.

World of Trucks: Cruising South Dakota Event

To celebrate the debut of our latest map expansion, we warmly invite you to participate in the brand-new World of Trucks community event: Cruising South Dakota! Hit the open asphalt of the Mount Rushmore State and absorb its pristine natural beauty, deep-rooted history, and expansive vistas.

This special event challenges you to explore the updated map, fulfill freight contracts to and from every municipal hub, and contribute toward a collective community milestone to unlock exclusive in-game accolades.

Event Rewards & Objectives

Personal Objective: Drivers who successfully complete freight deliveries to or from all 13 South Dakota destinations will unlock an exclusive World of Trucks achievement alongside the striking Call of the Badlands ATS truck paint job for their Steam inventory.

Community Objective: Once the global community drives a staggering cumulative total of 150,000,000 miles (241,402,000 km) via valid jobs connected to any South Dakota city, all participants who have also finalized their personal goal will be rewarded with a unique Ring-necked Pheasant Steam inventory accessory.

That is not all—we have an extra bonus in store! Truckers who complete a transport assignment via External Contracts or the External Market either TO or FROM Rapid City will be awarded the exquisite Quartz Triceratops cabin hanging ornament. Blending South Dakota’s official state mineral (rose quartz) with its official state fossil (the Triceratops), it serves as the ultimate keepsake from your journeys across the state!
